“I got so much out of my closet audit with Miriam! I needed help because I’m in my early 40′s and didn’t feel I dressed my age. (I dressed in t-shirt and jeans like I did when I was in college. Yikes!) So naturally, I was nervous at first, thinking she’d be horrified by my clothes. But in fact, it was FUN!
She first asked me to dress up however I would normally for different occasions to get a feel for my style. She then highlighted what worked well for me and what didn’t. She gently encouraged me to give away a ton of clothes. (I can honestly say I’ve never missed one single piece. They had to go!) Then she did something magical… she mixed and matched a few new outfits out of my old clothes. She put things together that I had never thought to. I couldn’t believe it. It really was a fun experience!
As for what I took away from it… As I expected, she taught me what to look for in new clothes. I can still hear her voice in my head when, in a moment of weakness, I stray towards that cute t-shirt (“no more cotton t-shirts!”). What I didn’t expect was how I felt wearing my old clothes. I suddenly felt I had a new wardrobe because I felt great in what she had given her approval on. And that subsequently got me wanting more fabulous clothes. Since then, my style has changed, I feel I dress appropriately for my age, and I get tons of compliments. I cannot recommend Miriam highly enough!”
