Many high school students take jobs working in a restaurant or a grocery store – not Kathleen. She realized early in life the benefits of a little thing called “Employee Discount!” Her working life began at Nordstrom at age 16 and the desire to help people look and feel their best hasn’t stopped since.
After a shocking discovery that a new pair of fabulous shoes wouldn’t actually pay the rent, Kathleen decided she needed a day job to support her love of stylish heels and a great pair of jeans. A career in human resources and recruiting started and this HR professional knows what it takes to look the part for an upcoming interview and how to maintain a professional, yet stylish, appearance in the work place.
Kathleen’s goal with every Urban Darling is to help them look stylish and confident everyday, no matter the size of the budget. “I love the closet audit process because sometimes people forget what a great wardrobe they have… it’s just hidden by those items that haven’t been worn in 5 years.”
Taking wardrobe basics and turning them into fashionable outfits is Kathleen’s passion.
“Being stylish doesn’t always mean you have to be high fashion. If you are a mom on the go, 4-inch heels might not be the best option to run errands with the kids. I help clients find functional fashion that fits into their everyday lives.”
